Born in Toronto, Canada, Steven Hoffner is a Drama and Film graduate from the University of Toronto. Steven has emerged out of the Toronto film landscape with an impressive assembly of work that includes the independent dramatic feature “The Most Beautiful Thing” (starring Dead Man’s Bones, Zach Shields) and the comedy short films “Generico presents: The Recession-Proof Professional” (Ouat Media, world-distribution) and the new comedy “6.5 Minute Abs.” The young director uses classical storytelling mixed with unique visual effects and editing to craft his films.
From his successes at the independent film level, Steven became the full-time video editor and producer for films with the National Hockey League headquarters in Toronto. In 2010 he directed the criticall acclaimed documentary "Behind the Stripes: A Ref's Life" (airing on the NHL Network). Working with the most powerful names in the organization, Steven now produces content for NHL.com and the NHL Network.
